Michigan Lily, Late July Aspect

Michigan Lily (Lilium michiganense). Native to Ohio. Grows in moist woodland borders,
streambanks and wet meadows. Photograph made during the last week of July, showing
its Fire Festival (August the 1st) aspect, and one of the striking signature colors of Oak
Forest / Tallgrass Prairie biome. (Can be found flowering now at Irwin Prairie.)
