Maple, new snow, Richland, Oregon. At a relatively low 667 meters (c. 2200 ft.),
Richland is a good place to sit out early winter storms. The only town lower on what I call
Wallowa 360 Circuit is Imnaha, on the North side, at 610 meters (c. 2000),
the former traditional winter camp of the Chief Joseph Band of Nez Perce . . .
On the road in the Northwest.
