Duane & Eileen Lyng—North Dakota farmers . . .
On the road in the American Northwest.

The Gift of Water

To the tired, half-lost, thirsty wayfarer, there is no greater
gift than clear, cool water. On the road in North Dakota,
not that far from Fargo, I stopped by the beautiful farm
of Duane and Eileen Lyng. They not only helped me fill
all my water bottles, but gave me much encouragement
and good directions besides. How wonderful it is to share
for a brief but somehow timeless moment this most precious
of gifts.
