TRACTOR!, "You're on solid ground with a STEIGER
tractor!"
These 4WD power houses sell used for about $44.000. At $4.95 for a
bushel
of soybeans, that makes it equal to about 8,888 bushels. But aassuming the
farmer
is making about $.20 on the bushel, we get a more realistic value of 222,000
bushels.
That would, on a spread of 1000 acres [404 hectares] at an average yield
of 20 bushel
per acre per year, equal about 11 years of sustained production.
