Dogwood Spring!. . . (Cornus spp.) One
of Nature's more beautiful disguises. What we think are the flowers
are really the surrounding bracts. But with the backlighting provided by
this clear April morning, we can see not
only the silhouette of the true inner flowers, but also the delicate
4-part rhythm which
is characteristic
of the species.
