P/P Photoweek: Granite Blasting . . . (V.10.2004)

ganite blasting, the alps

Granite Blasting . . .
The Alps.

A bit of flat ground in the mountains is precious. In order to build
a new house in a safe location, that is, one relatively free of avalanche
danger, it's frequently necessary to remove large amounts of
the granite bedrock.

Photograph was made at 1600 meters, with a standard lens.
