Indifference, Snapping Turtle on the move . . . (Chelydra
serpentina) Native to North America.
Looking into the eyes of this reptile, one sees it seems to me two hundred
million years
of evolutionary steadfastness. Not fancy, but it works. That is, until
lately.
This species , popular for turtle soup, we are officialy advised to refrain
from
eating in the area where this photo was made because of mercury contamination!
