Love on Ice, the Alps . . . (A related species of frog in Northwest Ohio began their nocturnal
mating ritual chorus of repeated ascending 'croaks' this year on Wednesday evening, the 13th
of March.

It's quite a remarkable event. For a full week in advance, the air is charged with anticipation. And
then, all of a sudden, and all together at once, the wetland air is filled with thousands of aquatic
voices.)   (
