Trucks In the Hay . . . The Alps. In the mountains of Europe,
making
hay -- still largely done by hand -- is serious, hard work. Some would
say it's an art form. In any event, I wasn't happy to see the Swiss Army
pull into the valley for target practice. (They shoot live tank shells at
the glacier, in preparation for lord knows what...) Notice that the
trucks are sending a cloud of gritty granite dust all over the freshly
turned, but still not quite dry grass. Luckily, I had
my little Nikon right next to me in the tractor, so I could at
least get a shot of this little run in with brute military force.
