Wallowa, west fork—Eagle Cap Wilderness . . . Looking North through
the center of the natural valley 'v', one is viewing over the 'heads',
as it were, of Wallowa Lake and the north Wallowa community
of Joseph. Where one sees the light brown of rangeland grasses
lies the general area of the spectacular Zumwalt Prairie, now
under the protection and stewardship of the NATURE
CONSERVANCY.
On the road in the American Northwest.
